Anna Maria

Bradenton

Lido Key

Anna Maria Island is a barrier island on Florida’s Gulf Coast. It's known for its broad beaches, like Manatee Beach Park. In the small resort city of Anna Maria, Pine Avenue is lined with shops, galleries and eateries. Anna Maria Island Historical Society Museum features a restored 1920 cottage. Nearby, the wooden City Pier dates from 1911. In Bradenton Beach City, Bridge Street Market sells food, art and jewelry.

Bradenton is a Florida city on the Manatee River, south of Tampa. The South Florida Museum has natural and cultural history exhibits. It also encompasses the Bishop Planetarium and Parker Manatee Aquarium. The nearby Riverwalk park stretches along the water. Galleries, studios and shops occupy colorfully restored 1920s and ‘30s cottages in the Village of the Arts.

Just a brief and scenic drive south of Longboat Key and home to one of Florida's most pristine beaches, Lido Key is known for its eco-tourism and sunset cruises. It's the place to go for deep sea fishing, dolphin watching and sailing. The seafood is as fresh as it can be, and the sunsets are unbeatable. Also located on Lido Key is St. Armands Circle, a gentrified center of chic boutiques, fine dining establishments and snack bars.

Sarasota

Siesta Key

Sarasota is a city south of Tampa on Florida’s Gulf Coast that was once the winter home of the Ringling Brothers Circus. Today, it hosts a number of cultural institutes, notably the Ringling Museum of Art, which showcases old masters and modern art. It’s also the gateway to miles of beaches with fine sand and shallow waters, such as Lido Beach and Siesta Key Beach.

Siesta Key is a barrier island in the Gulf of Mexico, off the coast of Sarasota, Florida. It’s known for its sandy beaches. Siesta Beach, near the shops and cafes of Siesta Key Village, has shallow waters, a playground and tennis courts. Crescent Beach offers access to Point of Rocks, limestone outcroppings that surround tidal pools and coral reefs. To the south, Turtle Beach has boat ramps and picnic areas.
